mint ice cream

 I wanted my house to smell

of mint ice cream

    to spite a man I

barely dated

    So I bought mint 

incense + mint candles

+lit every room 

on fire

in the end, the smell

burnt my eyes and nose

In the end, the whole world

melted

Now, in the vacuum of space

I long

 to feel the fresh mint

Of conflict again
